The Journal of the Arms and Armour Society
The Society publishes an internationally respected Journal of the Arms and Armour Society (JAAS) twice a year in March and September that reports on original research by Society members and affiliates.
JAAS is primarily a journal for Society members and its subscribers and articles are expected to be both relevant to specialists, of interest to members of the Society and other generalist arms and armour readers, and be accessible to a wider public seeking knowledge of the field.
The Arms and Armour Society is one of the leading groups in the world for those concerned with the study, collection and preservation of arms and armour. Formed in 1951 to further the study of arms and armour, it brings together enthusiasts, collectors, scholars, museum professionals including curators and conservators, and those who share-this common interest.

It represents, as one of the world’s most authoritative publications, an unrivalled and diverse archive of original scholarship and research in arms and armour edited by some of the most distinguished in the field. The Journal includes the output of both world recognised professional primary researchers and amateur enthusiasts, and covers periods from the earliest times into the 20th Century.
